Once at the Rally site, the Live Auction took center stage.
Bob Maxant of Illinois Harley-Davidson/Buell came away as one of the day's
big winners. Out bidding several others, Bob bid over $700 to win a
custom hand stitched quilt made using T-shirts from area dealers. At
2:30 pm, after the band's final set, the winner of the 2004 FXDL was drawn
from about 3,500 entries ... Joe C. of Chicago was the lucky winner and
plans to be at this year's Rally on his new bike! Rally Chairman,
Stephen Wendt ended the day thanking all the participants and sponsors for
making the event a success. The money raised was presented to the UIF
Guild and is being used to fund research to cure diabetes and to help make
life saving organ transplants continue to happen at the UIC Medical Center. |
