Who Benefits from the Green Ribbon Rally Donations?
- The primary beneficiaries of the Green Ribbon Rally are the surgery and organ donation and transplant programs at the University of Illinois Medical Center, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers.
- The University of Illinois Medical Center has been home to the Walter Payton Liver Center since 2007. The comprehensive liver disease treatment and research program was named in honor of legendary Chicago Bear running back Walter Payton, who died of liver cancer in 1999. The center has set a goal of finding a cure for liver cancer by 2020.
- The rally also will support the Jesse Brown Chicago VA Medical Center, which includes a 188-bed acute care facility on Chicago’s West Side and four community-based outpatient clinics. The center’s mission is to honor America’s veterans by providing exceptional care that improves their health and well-being.
Who is the GUILD?
The Walter Payton Center GUILD is a volunteer fundraising organization and a key partner in the center’s work. Through its fundraising activities, including the Green Ribbon Rally, the GUILD has helped fund the center’s acquisition of the latest medical technology, including a new $400,000 advanced imaging machine for research and state-of-the-art robotics equipment.
Why did they establish the Green Ribbon Motorcycle Rally?
Over the last 10 years, state budget cuts have dramatically decreased state funding for the UIC's Digestive Disease and Liver Center. With the help of individuals, corporations and organizations, the GUILD Council established the Chicago Green Ribbon Motorcycle Rally as a fundraising effort for UIC.
What is the Green Ribbon Motorcycle Rally?
It's the first-ever warm-weather Chicago motorcycle rally. Motorcycle enthusiasts gather from the Chicagoland area to display their prized machines and enjoy live music, food, family entertainment and raffles. Over the last seven years, thousands of riders have attended the Green Ribbon Motorcycle Rally, and have helped raise over six hundred thousand dollars for their cause.
Where is the 2010 Green Ribbon Motorcycle Rally?
Riders can start from one of five sponsoring Harley Davidson dealerships and enjoy a Scenic Ride to the final destination - Kendall County Fairgrounds. The ride will take you through much of the western suburbs. Scenic Ride participants will also be eligible for a special raffle gift.
When is the 2010 Green Ribbon Ride Motorcycle Rally?
Saturday, June 12, 2010. First bike out will be at 9:30am from each title sponsor dealership, rain or shine! Gates will open at Kendall County Fairgrounds (Rt. 71 and East Highpoint Road, Yorkville) at 11:00am.

Can I buy a Raffle Ticket if I am not attending the Rally?
Yes, you can buy Raffle tickets today at any our our title sponsorship dealerships or contact Steve Wendt at (800) 509-9055 or smwsr@wendtandassociates.com. You do not need to be present to win and all raffle sales support the Green Ribbon Rally cause. Raffle Tickets are $10 per ticket or 3 for $25 or 5 for $40.
What Does My Registration Money Cover?
By pre-registering for $20 or registering the day of the event for $25, you can ride to the event or join us at the fairgrounds. With your registration donation, you will receive two drink tickets and a lunch of a pulled pork sandwich and chips! The Green Ribbon Rally team has put together a goodie bag with great promotions this year for all our participants. Your registration will help support our beneficiaries and increase awareness for our cause!

Register by mail by using our printable on-line form, provide the information requested and follow the mailing instructions. You can also register the day of the event.
How much is the registration fee?
